Posted - 08/11/2009 : 17:40:09 thanks for all your comments folks.... taken on board some advice, BUT the 18" plastic tub i had was heated by a heat mat which i recorded as gettin up to 108/109 degrees, which is way way way too high...even when i used a stat with it...i had the funds for a 3'viv, so bought one and in went kelloggs, theres hides, folliage <silk> and the temps are good at both ends.... and it seems that the snake is doing ok, growin, sheddin, eatin, drinkin and we see him roamin round all over the viv..yes yes he's skittish when my hand goes to pick him up, but ususally calm and inquisitive squirming round my hands when hes handled.... theres a lot of ppl on here with different views and not everyone can be the same as the others...all we can do is try our best and i think i am...thanx agen for ya comments btw, viv built by a local pet shop in sheffield |
