Posted - 27/11/2013 : 22:21:27 Aurora (the flash washed out her colours a fair bit, she's more orange in real life , a sunglow ) She's making sure that mouse is really dead!
Andromeda
Titan
Aphrodite - she's a year and a half and is mahoosive compared to all my other 2012s, a whopping 235g!
And lastly, the big lad. Apollo. He too likes to make sure his mouse is completely dead and his strikes are amazing I think he's due a shed soon which is why his colouring isn't quite up to his normal standards

Posted - 30/11/2013 : 01:22:57 Wow, yeah I guess they are massive in comparison. My three 2012 girls are 155g ("little" Andromeda), 220g (Aurora) and 235g (Aphrodite)! My 2012 male, Titan is 213g - hoping to breed him to my adult female in 2014.
Makes me realise just how big they are :S I don't powerfeed - they get one mouse each every 7-14 days... |

Posted - 29/11/2013 : 23:02:51 That's insane.. My 3x 2012 girls are at about 70g, 90g and 110g....!! :O |

Posted - 29/11/2013 : 19:47:08 I guess it just goes to show how differently they can grow. Andromeda (155g) and Aphrodite (235g) are the same age (both hatched in summer 2012), they have been fed exactly the same since I got them, until Aphrodite outgrew the smaller mice and she went up the sizes obviously. Weirdly enough, Aphrodite is very lean although massive and Andromeda is a bit chubby. I guess she isn't putting the energy into growth like Aphrodite is. Maybe she's storing it for a big growth spurt. |

Posted - 29/11/2013 : 19:19:21 Moppet, Corno reached 301g at 18 1/2 months, and I certainly wasn't power feeding her!! Little old Ember is only 247g at just under 2 yrs old and they started on the same feeding schedule. I've recently cut Corno's feeds down though as I think she is getting a little chubby 511g at just 2yrs 3 months, more than twice the size of Ember! |

Posted - 29/11/2013 : 18:51:21 Thanks Andromeda is the smallest one of the lot! She's "only" 155g. Aphrodite is the giant. I wouldn't be surprised if she reached 300g with some time to spare for next year - before she's even 2 years old! Although I think I will probably still wait to breed from her. |
