Posted - 09/07/2013 : 14:46:55 So Cereus is in blue so won't come out and enjoy the sun. Sakana, however, went out for a bit with me. Some time on the grass which was cut a few days a go so is still covered in dry grass that she found out she could tunnel under XD Her first reaction(never been on grass before) was to hide next to my leg and not move lol. So I moved her and she started tunneling Here are a few snaps I got.
"Muuuuuuum! It's spikey and new and... And... And scary! I'll hide here!"
"Oh! I can tunnel under this stuff?! Cool!!"
"Oh! Hello again!"
"I'm off again!"
Sorry if the pictures are huge... They look slightly smaller on my screen which is 15.6". |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 17:07:01 Well I won't go "Here, hold the snake!" to anyone because if they are scared of them it could end badly but if someone ASKS if they can hold the snake, then fair enough. I always do what was done to me at first and keep the head away from the other person as some people feel uncomfortable having the head near them but they want to hold her lol. Do you need a license or anything to do school visits? Been thinking of taking Sakana up to my brothers school for a visit since my little 2 year old sister pulls her about and she just sits there lol. |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 15:26:20 I know lol, I've not got my new ones quite yet and it will be a bit before they can go outside lol. They'll be a bit small and fast to go out when I get them hehe.
Aww bless her lol. Sakana tunneled and then when she'd had enough she started climbing on me instead as if to say "OK mum, that's enough now" lol.
I hope we get more weather like this so I can take her out more often. It's nice to take her out. Not just because she get's to go out and it's nice and warm but because I get people coming up and going "Is that a real snake? Can I touch it?" which makes me laugh every time. |

Bazil like tunneling, too. It backfired once, when she tunneled under some tufts of grass, refused to come out, and I had quite o job getting her out ( panicked a bit )
Sakana certainly looks like she's getting the taste for the outdoors :-) |
