So I'm planning to re-decorate the snakes vivs and I decided to go get them some new climbing material yesterday. Got them some branches from the woods lol. I boiled and scrubbed them to be sure and then dried them in the airing cupboard. The ones that were too short to just sit in the viv got screwed in at the sides as you can see. The ones that were long enough just got rested comfortably from the front corner to the back Anyway, pictures and then I have to go offline for a bit while my mum uses the PC. Jakke_123 sorry it took so long, the PC is old and slow and keeps crashing
Please excuse the unnatural hides in Cereus' viv... Like I said, Partially re-decorated XD

The vivs.
Sakana
Full Viv -
Right Side -
Left Side -
(Excuse her water, I changed it after the photo lol)

Cereus
Full Viv -
Right Side -
No left side pics as my cam died but the left side is a cardboard box hide and his waterbowl.

Sakana, my cam died before I could take photo's of Cereus

I have got this long, gangly snake that has outgrown her "baby viv" and am really needing ideas for lots of hidey holes for her, as she is going to look lost in the big viv for a while.

I am going to put lots of hidey holes and plastic flowers, branches and rope in there until she starts needing a bit more room, but really have fallen in love with the wooden hut!

The wooden hut is actually a hand me down house from one of my local reptile shops not long after I got her as her original owner(my uncle) had accidentally dropped her ceramic hide and it broke. I couldn't afford a new warm hide(it was warm at the time, it's now cold lol) so I went in and went "Do yo have any spare wodden hides that I can use for a corn snake?" and they said "Here, have this. We don't need it for the boas as they've outgrown it and we have nothing else to use it for right now.". I took it, washed it in boiling water and dried it It's not been a problem but as far as I'm aware it's a critter home or something lol.

mjpeters: I love to give them things to climb on because Sakana is practically a tree python by behaviour XD

Herriotfan: Haha, branches from outside - Boil them, scrub them and dry them

Absolutely love this set upI really like to see snakes in a stimulating habitatThey can't choose where to live but if they could I'll bet you would have a queue of potential residents just waiting to move in!
Fabulous-lucky snakes

Haha, you can have the idea lol... I "borrowed" it myself I'm going to try again in a bit. and see if she'll allow me to get them off.

Thanks I'm still in the middle of it hence Cereus' cardboard box and biscuit tub hides XD

Thanks Kellog Lol, the apologies were needed

She's due a shed anytime soon, I'll try removing them again soonbut the warm damp towel didn't work last time. I can try giving her an actual bath so she can soak her head under the water since she tends to do that half the time anyway.

Thank-You Scary She loves photo's XD

You snake is so photogenic :o

Brilliant pics Alecia, they'll be so helpful to Jakkke_123 . Your vivs are great. I love the wood in them and the little wooden 'huts' are so cute .

Nearly abused my Mod powers and deleted your apology about the pics, totally unnecessary !!

As far as Sakana's retained eye caps are concerned, I don't think it's wise to leave them there until she sheds next. This may help you remove them - http://www.theroyalpython.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3502 I know it's a python but corns aren't much different, just nicer . IF you can't remove them then I suggest you contact a vet.

Xxx

Also, please excuse the reflections from my and the reflection of the window in Sakana's full viv shot XD I hadn't realised before lol.

Oh and yes Sakana has some retained eye caps but despite running her through a warm damp towel they won't come off... I'm hoping she get's them off next shed.
