Glad you've got it worked out and didn't just assume it was the hide and take it out .

he has hardly come out of the hide since i moved it to other side guess its the side he doesnt like
Kellog Posted - 17/06/2013 : 08:34:52
It's just a case of working out which it is he's choosing, not to go in the hide or not to go on the heatmat. It's worth swapping them around and seeing if he still won't use the hide, just so you know.

if not I can always put it in robins viv , and give albion another tube
which he seems to love
andria2013 Posted - 16/06/2013 : 19:54:22
the hide is on the side of the heatmat , just worried that maybe he wont go to heat becos of the hide. ill try swap it over for abit see wat he does.

They really are doing so well with you . You can find out if Albion is staying out of the hide because he doesn't like it or if he's just staying on the side of the viv he prefers by swapping them round for a few days. If he then uses the hide you'll know he is choosing which side he likes, but if he doesn't then you know it's because he doesn't like it.

thankyou kellog , ofcourse not on my own with the help of you and others on here. but its finally done. Albion dont seem to like the hide . he stays in the cool end all the time . now I can concentrate getting them built up more, they are looking alot healthier alrdy though . robin having chicks every 3 feeds and im gunna put albions on x-large mice same like robin becos the large mouse goes down quick and aint much of a bump .

You know what I'm going to say Andria .....FINALLY !!! You've done SUCH a great job with them and your finally achieved what you've been trying to do for ages, they are separate....and loving it by the looks and sounds of things . I am so pleased, for both snakes and especially for you.

haha so true .not sure albion used to having a cool area n hot area yet.old viv had 2 heatmats in there 1 on each side. thats how the previous owners had it setup . cos Albion laid in cool area most of the day. either that or he dont like the hide hahaha . he likes the cardboard tube more /
