Posted - 06/03/2013 : 19:25:54 Well Sakana is being her typical self during breeding season. All hyper and active and wanting out of her viv. I'm also expecting her to start refusing food again soon. Here'e some pictures of her attempts, she's the same as Razee's Little T lol. she's also doing the whole "Twitch when touched" thing. Cereus, however, is just chilling.
"Muuuuum! Let me out!"
"Pleeeaaaase! I promise I'll be good!"
" Tricked ya! I just wanted to go to Cereus so move your hand!"
Any tips to calm her down? I think she's going to end up hurting herself by rubbing her nose on the glass so much. I tried putting Cereus with her and she was showing him she wanted to breed but he just went and hid so he's obviously not in a breeding mood. |

I know some big breeders just lob them in one box together, and leave the male in for several days, then take them out, for a couple of days, to give them a break. You might not see the mating that way, though.
P.S. Please, please be careful with the unguarded bulb, my friend back at home used an unguarded bulb for her royals ( and thought I was silly and over cautious telling her to put a guard on it ), till one wrapped herself around the bulb and crushed it! Glass everywhere... By some miracle, the snake wasn't cut, not even burnt, but she did put a guard on the new bulb after that.
I know about the bulb, it's only temporary till I can get another heat mat for the viv. You may know that I recently had to spend the money that was for a second stat and heat mat on the new viv and so Hissyfit sent me a stat now I just need to wait till I can afford a heat mat and then the bulb and light fitting are going completely and I'm putting LED strips in lol.
I'm getting a little concerned about her because her nose is getting a bit red from rubbing it. |
