Posted - 29/01/2013 : 16:40:19 I don't think we've really taken many sice I got her in April last year! This was her then...
and this is her today
White belly scales at the front...
but orange at the back!
plus of course a compulsory one of Corno
and someone was asking about her dark tongue recently, think it was Acidic Angel? She's not as easy to get a tongue shot as Ember, but there's a kind of one here... the tongue is darker as it gets thicker.

Hoggy!!!
Fresh pics of Hermes my housie are up in the other section - but you've probably seen them by now lol! I don't think we have room for more rainbows... although I'm sure a BRB will sneak in in a few years time once Prism goes in her final viv ;) But you need to get a hognose and a house snake now so we still match lol! (mind you - no way I'm getting a horse... :p)
Yes - have seen the lovely photos of Hermes Ummmm - not sure I have room for a house snake or hoggie - but could be tempted As for your daughters choice in name .......... Hoggy, like most choices from children, always original You could always go for Horace the Hoggy or Horatio the Hoggy. As for you getting a horse - I need to update my signature as I have added a pony to my collection I really must stop collecting animals |

Posted - 31/01/2013 : 10:00:18 Thanks Smart bunny - I'm really pleased with Morse since all the stress I had with feeding issues (nothing compared to some on here). Morse has been on smalls for some time now, probably going to have two from now on, as the last lot I ordered in are more like over grown fuzzies and smaller than the last batch! I don't know any of the hatch or birth dates for any of my snakes and don't have any records either - it would of been nice to know. Has your daughter decided on a name for her Hoggie yet? Also have you got a name for your Housie? You just need a BRB now and we will both have 6 snakes in the household |

Posted - 31/01/2013 : 09:41:50 Wow he has done really well then - Ember hatched mid Dec 11 so only a month or so younger, but nowhere near as heavy as him - fab considering all his initial feeeding problems! I'm about to up her to smalls next time I buy food. Corno is a piggster - she's 238g now at 18 months lol.
I've always been lucky enough to know the hatch/birth date of our snakes... up until our hoggy. I asked how old he was and the pet shop guy (who had got him in for us specifically so only had him a week when we collected - no records or anything whatsoever :( ) replied 'oh about 8-9 months now'. I'm sure that was a total guess... I hate not knowing lol! |

Wow, Morse up to 90g!!! How old is he now?
I am not entirely sure of accurate age for Morse, he was a christmas present 2011. He was tiny at 7g so only about 2 months old I think. Thus I refer to him as a yearling now - guessing at 15 months old Zeus is approx 3 months older and weighs in at 181g |

Posted - 30/01/2013 : 15:12:26 Ember is looking good and has definately grown some from her 14g. Great shots of Corno too. Morse shed recently and the belly is beginning to go orangy at the tail end now and I can't believe is now weighing in at 90g!!

Posted - 29/01/2013 : 21:17:15 Thanks everyone, you can certainly see the difference in pics between my camera and ability - 1st pic - and hubby's lol!!
I will admit I wasn't keen on her colouring as a hatchie, I don't really like the 'translucent look', but I got her knowing she would colour up a lot so think she looks lovely now lol.
Lupi, she was 67g last week, didn't bother weighing her today. Still far lighter than Corno at the same age, but a lot bigger than the 14g at 4 months old in the first pic! |
