What a huge difference there can be between hatchlings growth rates.

I have measured and weighed all four of my hatchies and I'm quite impressed by the differences between them.

Andromeda is the youngest at 14weeks, the lightest at 11g and the shortest at 39cm. She's eating as much as I will give her, I think she's trying to catch up to Aphrodite

Aurora is 18 weeks old, 15g and 44cm long. She hoovers up anything I put infront of her then goes looking for more! I think she's trying to make up for lost time because she was a very picky eater to begin with. (Thanks manda, for getting her going so well)

Titan is 18 weeks old, 15g and 45cm long. He has just had a regurge I have left him for 10 days and I will be feeding him tomorrow. I think the pinky was a little too big for him last time, so hoping I have sorted it now.

...and then there's Aphrodite. My big lady.
She is only 16 weeks old but she is 22g and 48cm long. You can tell she is so much larger than the others. She seems to always eat backwards. Every time. Seems to check both ends and choose that way. Quirky snakey.

I love keeping snakes. They're just so interesting

I'm glad you liked it and I hope it will be useful to other people too. I worried about growth rates a lot when I first got Apollo but with a little experience I have learned that as long as a snake is eating, pooping and shedding, however fast they are growing is normal for them

Lovely snakes. I love the deep colours of Aphrodite

Thank you, I'm hoping Aphrodite will stay quite a red coloured diffused (would love an oldschool blood red.) We'll see. She seems to get redder with each shed but not any paler so fingers crossed. It would be quite a deal as she was sold to me as pied diffused Of course if she is a pied diffused I definitely won't be complaining as I think she's lovely either way

Yeah Aurora is growing like crazy. Plus she'll eat absolutely everything I offer her! I even had a 9 year old boy come round to feed her today (a friend's little brother)! Didn't phase her one bit. Fab little snake. She's on two pinkies now and she still looks for more!! Yeah right, Aurora. As if you need more with a big belly full already

Thank you. I think they are too, but I'm a little biased

These are the first I've had so young so I'm loving the experience of watching them grow like mad. Apollo's growth got quicker when he went onto fluffs so I'm wondering if these guys will too. If Aphrodite grows any quicker though, I'll be able to sit and watch her haha.
