So it's been a while since I posted pics of my babies and I had them out for ages today so got a few good ones. Here is how they looked at 6 months old. They are now just shy of 11 months old.

So here is an indication of how long they are:

Measured out on the stairs

Near my foot

Aspen near Tom's foot

Shadow near Tom's hand

So.... long now :p I'm shocked by how much they have grown.

Here are some Aspen photos. Aspen is a Carolina, and is looking very bright already.

And now for Shadow. I was told Charcoal and have always debated whether he is anery a or b. He's gotten "greyer" (rather than blacker) and has no signs of the yellow sides just yet. As before, opinions welcome!

And some "together" shots. Really see the contrast between the pair.

So there are my babies, 5 months on. They really are growing up fast :p

Also bear in mind that not all anery A's get the yellow on them - and some Anery B's do, so that is not a total deciding factor! They are both gorgeous snakes, and some lovely photos :)

This boy is a charcoal, see that patch behind his eye has a pink tinge? Anery A's don't have that

This boy is also homo charcoal, the pink is more obvious on him

Pink blush?? O.o I haven't seen that in any of the morph photos I've seen.

I agree - he's gorge regardless. But it is nice to know at the same time :p

Snakes are stunning but no more for me for a while
But I will have to get a new camera as when I take pictures of mine the colors never look the same as real life and my phone takes better pics then my camera but still not great

I'm sold on the snakes. I love it when I see a photo of a morph that doesn't normally do it for me, but starts to change my mind for me :) One day I hope to own a beautiful, original normal.

When seen under sunlight or a nice white light, it's almost spot on for the colour. Is a great little camera :D

Under normal slightly yellow light they don't look quite the same though (as always).

EDIT: I have white LED strips in their viv and against the green foliage, Aspen is truly stunning

That camera shows off your snakes really well, is the picture colour a true likeness of your snakes?
Might be time for me to invest in a new camera me thinks

They are both adorable! :) Lovely pictures, thanks for sharing.

They are both boys... maybe if I can afford to expand my collection I will (but this is way in the future). Or if anyone wants a male for breeding once they are old enough (to borrow... not keep :p). Not really thought too much about breeding really.

As for the morph - there seems too much contrast for charcoal, but not enough for the standard anery... I haven't a clue as of yet.

I used a Canon 1100D to take the photos.

Stunning colours to your pics (snakes), what camera did you use?
NexivRed Posted - 11/07/2012 : 23:36:07
Some really stunning shots of your snakes there. They look really great when their colours work off of each other. I love Aspen's belly checkers! She looks like a mini piano! Her black outlines are really defined too, you must be really proud of her.
I love shadow, I love grey snakes. I couldn't tell you whether he's anery or charcoal because I'm just a newb to it all. He does seem more grey toned than some of the aneries I've seen which go slightly brown, but then again there's a lot of distinction between his base colour and his saddles. Another year or so might tell you.

Do you think you'll breed them in the future?
