Sharon is one year old today, and looking through old pics I noticed just how much her colours and markings have changed since she was tiny.. THEN... she was sold as a 'florida corn', which I had no reason to doubt at the time- her base colour was very grey, no hint of orange tones, but after a couple of sheds the orange started to creep in, along with the doubt about her morph.. NOW...
We know now that she is most likely a plain old carolina, but as the orange increased, the black edge to her saddles (what teeny bit there was) has all but disappeared, along with the clarity of the marks down her sides, which are getting more and more blurry. Is she actually something else?? her base colour has a strange coppery-metallic sheen to it these days, that doesn't come over in the photos. she's SO different, its quite startling!! (very very blue in these pics, sorry) thank you for looking!! |
