It's not stupid its a legitimate question. Day old mice are tiny, like really small. They start on that, you do get the odd really small hatchling that you give just pinkie heads but that is very rare.

3 of my hatchlings shed and ate today,they had a pinkie each that weighed 1 gram. |

This is going to sound stupid but - what do you feed hatchies? Do you get really small pinkies or do you have to give them 1/2 a pinkie or can they manage an ordinary one? I can't help but wonder what they would eat in the wild when they are that small! |
