our anery lavs have an almost reddy purple hue as hatchies, starting to get steely grey around the the eyes now though crystal just shed and is starting to look a bit different from her sister. she's gonna be a big girl

Personally I think it's a bit too pink to be an anery lavender, if the eyes are ruby red like you describe then I'll bet it's a lavender Ghosts tend to have brown eyes and anery lavenders I think have blue.

not yet the girlies are only 5 months at the moment. i don't think they get the yellowing like the anery's when adult the are silvery with grey markings and a hint of rouge and they don't get the pinky saddles of the lavenders. http://iansvivarium.com/morphs/species/elaphe_guttata/anery_lavender/ hope that helps x

I'm with Manda on this one, its a toughie! On one hand the front looks to be Lavender but then the rear looks much more ghost/ Anery, unless its just the lighting... How about anery lavender and play safe? Lol
manda88 Posted - 22/01/2012 : 21:29:12
Having said that, it COULD be a ghost as I can see he has a lot of yellow on his neck, but that could also just be the het anery showing through...confusing! I'm leaning more towards lavender as the mother's parents don't mention hypo and only one mentions anery, unless they were carrying hets of course. Ok I'm baffled haha.

Cannot answer your question, although he does look a bit like the lavenders I've seen.... but he's gorgeous whatever lol!
