Posted - 19/09/2011 : 21:05:22 most corn genetics are recessive, snow is the name of the morph made from amel and anery so if you have an amel it is an amel het for anery, it will carry the gene but is not visual. |

Posted - 19/09/2011 : 21:03:43 You know what - I know a fair bit about chinchilla genetics - but very little about corns genetics?
Can snow not be carried? Is it a dominant or recessive trait?
Yes - he def will carry the anery gene (as sire is an anery).
Oh yes - the 2 males are on a diet - I only picked them up at the weekend (from a friend) - and am going to sell them on. They are pretty porky.

Posted - 19/09/2011 : 20:23:43 Those are some really gorgeous corns especially the ghost stripe. Is your snow a little overweight as it looks like it has some fat rolls? (know how it feels lol)
I THINK your last one could be a hypo although I am far from an expert so I would let others say lol. Oh and your amel is het for anery not snow. Since it is homozygous amel it cannot also be heterozygous amel. |
