Might try that method tonight...

EDIT: In fact sod that, his/her scales are too small. I'll wait a couple of weeks and take her into Paws for Thought

its where you count how many scales from the vent to the bottom of the tail i think, i counted today and there was 131 and i saw on a website that says if there is 130 or less then its probably a girl 140 or more then its probably a boy or between the to it could be either but this is oalso not 100% method i used the skin that was shed today to have a quick count

chris-lee09 Posted - 19/09/2011 : 21:37:54
yh i kept trying to get a pic of the underneath but he wasnt havin it kept moving about lol wouldnt keep still iv tried countin a shed skin scales but i kept loosing count at the bottom where there really small lol iv just got a snow corn hatchling i keep meaning to load pics of him aswell
gingerpony Posted - 19/09/2011 : 21:33:14
ideally need a ventral pic ie. of it's underneath to have any kinda chance

though at least 2 of my adult females have very long tapering tails which is usually more typical of males
have you tried the scale-count method on a shed skin? might be a giggle if you've got the time, most of them fall in the 'grey area' which could be either sex but might be a fun project nonetheless

thank you for all the nice replys i keep meaning to go to the reptile shop but its quite far away and really dont want to stress him out to much

I could guess at the sex but 50-50 im wrong, as thats all sexing a snake by the tail will gie you a guess best having it probed to provide more accurate result.

nice ghost

Corns are seriously hard to tell the sex of from tail length. If you really want to know I would take it to your local rep shop who will normally probe for free or a small fee.
