Posted - 05/08/2011 : 00:11:08 Not sure what you guys will think of this haha. Was an idea i got from seeing all these dog and cat owners getting there pets to step in paint and walk on paper. I thought, i wonder if i could do this with snakes .....? so
First off water down some paints (nothing toxic don't worry) and put them on a canvas:
I gently over the ENTIRE canvas with plastic (I used klingfilm). Make sure there is absolutly no way the paint can escape, last thing i wanted was my little Cherry covered in paint, that would just be cruel.
Then carefully add snake. I never let her leave my sight, thankfully because of her missing eye cherry moves slowly most of the time, and is generally happy to just sit .... so it took longer then i wanted.
after a little while of letter her push the paint around under the plastic, she decided that was enough and the empty box near by was much more interesting. So it was finished.
Snake Art! just as good as any foot print .... and with less mess.
No paint at all touched cherry, if it had it wouldn't have harmed her. But i didn't want to let it happen anyway. |

Posted - 08/08/2011 : 15:00:15 should get that water reactive paper stuff - i dont think anything except water would touch the snake, might get some nice patterns and slither marks :D |

Ah, sorry. Wasn't aware of that. But no, she hasn't posted the pics here.
All good stuff, I may well try it with the boa, nice and heavy bodied should squidge the paint around a bit more.
Think you might need a much bigger canvas for a boa :P haha |
