Hi all,

I just grabbed some photos of the clutches that are hatching here this weekend and thought I'd post them :)

Cinders, Amels and Normals:

Amel Cinder and Lava:

A real mixed bag including Hypo Pewter, Granite, Diffused and Normal!
A few from this clutch:

Lava, Caramel Motley etc from a het Caramel Lava Motely breeding:

This is a Stargazer test breeding - No gazers in the clutch :D

Cheers

Can I just ask what happens to these snakes now they haven't developed the problem??

I take it if they did you would either keep them for yourself or have them destroyed to not pass on the gene?!?!?!

I'm liking the one with the devil horns!!!

I take it it's much like the stargazing problems that enigma can sometimes produce for leopard geckos?

Gorgeous corns by the way

Is the Granite Pied sided or is it just the light of the picture? Looks to have a contrast in the diffusion like its showing early signs??

Yup, he is pied sided and a Pewter! :D

Thanks for the comments all.

Stargazing is a gene just like Amel or Anery and is known to have its foundation in with the Sunkissed gene. Although these two are not linked it is most likely to pop up in the Sunkissed morphs.

Homozygous Stargazer animals have trouble with their motor function, specifically when excited or under pressure. At rest they look normal but when moving they struggle to maintain their movement correctly. It is not unlike the Spider problem seen in royals.

They are known to sleep up the wrong way and fail to catch food items etc. It is a bad and can be fatal gene so we are testing all our Sunkissed animals for the gene before making any Sunkissed morphs available for sale.

Cheers
