The smaller shed was around 12 to 13 months ago. The larger was today.

Mine are in individual plasic bags atm the bags are all in a tub. I am going to get one of those self adhesive photo albums, that way I should be able to take the sheds out if I need too.

im defo keeping them from now on, how do you keep them tho?
in a tub? on sellotape? id want to keep them in a full length?

i actually got told off off my gf (she isnt keen on snakes) as she says "the only interesting thing the bloody snakes does and you go and throw it in the bin!"

It is nice to have the sheds. Amy's previous owner kept all the shed and when she gave him to me she asked a couple of times if I wanted the old sheds and I said no. luckily she didn't bin them so when I changed my mind she brought the straight round. Its nice to see the changes. I am planning on using a photo album to make a scrap book for them.

wish id have thought of that! ended up binning my first shed, gutted now!
im not expert but thoguht they were classed as adult at around 2 years??

He was three and a half feet before he shed. The old skin shouldn't be too dried out as they are stored in a sealed box. His previous owner said that he looked like a worm when she got him at 6 weeks old....lol. Does anyone know at what age a corn is considered fully grown?
HERICUS Posted - 08/07/2011 : 09:44:04
yeah but wouldnt the 12 months old one be more dried out than the recent shed?

tho you are right about the shed stretching when it comes out.

Still a big lad tho!!! how long is he?

I don't know if it shrinks but if it does it wouldn't make any difference when comparing the two sheds as the both would have shrunk. I have heard that the shed stretches a bit as the snake wriggles out.

does the shed not shrink abit when it dries out tho??

It's amazing how quickly they grow. Barnaby was probably less than 30g when I got him in January and he's now 150g!

Wow,theres a god difference there. Its amazing how quick they grow isn't it.
scottishbluebird Posted - 04/07/2011 : 21:59:28
That is some difference!

wow huge - or at least since that first shed
ntbryenton-rochard Posted - 04/07/2011 : 20:04:57
I think all snakes grow at dfferent rates. From what I gather, my snake is big for his age.

Wow thats amazing. I didn't know that they grew quite that fast. I can't wait to see my first shed!
