Here is an updated version of Hades viv after some of the advice I had from other forum members, I invested in a digital thermometer that has 2 probes and a smaller heat mat, I should never go shopping with just a card for money I spent a bit to much on a huge piece of wood I liked the end bit of, cut off the majority of it. And my littlest one chose a new leafy thing to try and hide the wiring, I still haven't seen a background I like so perhaps I am going to try and make one after further research.......

The expensive damn log....Never before have I walked into a shop and said oh look at the beautiful bit of wood.
The first time he took 2 pinks....he's a fatty!!

Thanks guys, I think he likes it. I know I am much happier with it...Just to find and figure out the lighting and a background now. |

yep He is a warm owl Hades curls up on him...he is just sat on the heat mat and is made of marble. |
