Hi,

Havn't been on for a while, everything has been going smoothley, Arthas is growing nicely and looking stunning.

I have plans to expand my collection later this year, i have a plan to build two viv stacks, so I can keep upto about 6 snakes.

Ill probably only get two more snakes later this year though I dont want to rush, even though its hard not to and ive extensively researched most things on my ever growing wishlist. Ive decided to wait while August beacause Im going to the US for 3 weeks in July so I didnt want to leave newbies with my sister for so long.

Im thinking definately a Carpet Python, then depending on how much ive spent either a Hognose, King or Milk.

Any advice on the snakes im thinking of that I may not know is welcome, and any other snakes I might like that I could add to my wishlist . Ive become fascinated with snakes now I read stuff every night and ive subscribed to that reptile mag.

Chris

Hi, thanks guys,

I was thinking of the Irian Jaya richy, i think my favourate is the Jaguar but I cant find any for sale and I imagine there expensive. And yes Ive heard about the spraying poo issue with milks lol.

Just found out about the giant hognose, they sound rare and pricey, and probs a bit to big :)

Arthas is beautiful. Not surprised you've caught the bug.
A friend of mine has a pair of jungle carpets. Fantastic snakes and lovely to handle, very docile and inquisitive.

Get an Irian Jaya carpet python! I have two, a male and a female and they are awesome. Because they are an 'island' version, they are a more managable size while still being a 'real' snake :D
They still get to a decent size and become very docile if you treat them right.

I also have a milk snake which is very pretty, but they will take every opportunity they can to spray you with poo and are very skittish, at least in my experience. They eventually calm down after some hard work and cleaning snake poo off the walls :P

What you really want is a malagasy giant hognose ;)
