I used to bite mine almost obsessively, we tried everything but I would still drill them down. Then at about 19-20 I just stopped, I didn't even realise I'd stopped until one day I realised that I actually had real nails! Now and then I still chew them (usually when I'm under stress) but it's like the 'relief' I had originally gotten from biting them had just vanished.
These days I keep them cut short for work, but even cutting them short is done with some love ^^
I'm sure your daughter will stop on her own time, just make sure she's not doing damage to the skin and nailbeds. |

Thanks everyone. As for the nails, I have tried everything with my daughter but she continues to bite them. I bit mine till I was 21 so maybe she will stop when she's older!
As for Nimbus, I have been so pleased with him since I got him. His colour looks great and he fed well today and has gone into hiding now to digest his meal. He's perfect :o) |

Its nice to know I made an impact!! xD I do think it is important to look after yourself, it makes you feel good, even if you like to think otherwise. My nails are always clean and tidy and usually painted or with acrylic ones on, its good for you! :P I will admit though, when I was younger I always bit my nails, they were a state, but once I stopped I became obsessed with keeping them neat, I think Im a bit of an obsessive person, its worrying! xD Ahh well, stay beautiful people! :P
