i'd be happy with them!! ^^^

My guess would be Anery Stripe (possibly vanishing) or a Ghost Stripe (also possibly vanishing)

it was just my general assumption becos of the stub nose and beady eyes! plus wot the person i got him from said.

Im no expert by any means tho so if sum 1 can morph him/correct me i wont argue!!!!

oh and just to add if he is pure corn why is he so hard to morph?? only asking becos im looking for answers! not an attepmt at trying to be clever! LOL!!!

I can only agree with Eeji, Lex would not sell Hybrids without at least declareing them as such. If you think its a Hybrid because of the short nose, whats with Sunkissed? They all have shorter noses than "normal" Corns.

see why im i a bit stuck??? LOL!!!!

wot ever the outcome of this little guy is i dnt mind to much! he's a grumpy snake! (likes to chew!!) but an absolute stunner in the flesh! :)

when i enquired about this guys history this is the e-mail i got bk as a reply -

I bought a pair of striped corn snakes from lexcorn who said they were a project she had been given but didn't have time for.

One was anery looking (Lexcorn thought maybe pewter stripe) and one was caramel looking (Lexcorn thought amber stripe).

I brought these up from hatchlings and bred them the outcome being the beautiful hatchlings you saw a picture of.

I did some research way back and found out the snakes came from Phil Draper. Now he has some Great Plains Rat Snakes and corn snakes and he does not keep records of what he puts together.

So I can only assume somewhere in the mix with the strong characteristics of corn snake that there is some great Plain rat snake in them as they have a slightly shorter nose.

I'm afraid this is the best explanation I can give.

I must say that his snout looks all corn to me, just a young face - and they do change a lot amongst individuals. Widget of my lot has a very long face, but Dexter has a face quite similar to yours, a lot shorter and broader.

if Lex is the breeder then I'll put my life savings on him being pure cornsnake (about 36p, just in case I'm wrong!!!!). If you get in touch with her she should be able to tell you straight away what morph he is :)

That snake is beautiful!
I'm not saying you've been told wrong or owt,but I got Falcor from Lexcorn a month ago and I really don't think hybrids is something they do.
I'd definitely go to the website and get in touch direct with her. She's brill and I'm sure she'd solve the puzzle for you.

If you know the breeder maybe you should get in touch, surely that is the only way of getting a definite answer. :)

He is lovely, what a beautiful colour
eeji Posted - 26/11/2010 : 18:44:30
don't ask me, I'm useless with hybrids! :D To add to the confusion, there are a rew ratsnakes that have stripes as their normal adult pattern with 'cornsnake like' saddles as youngsters (Everglades, Yellow, Bairds) but yours is showing a clear white belly which would suggest the stripe is 'cornsnake stripe'

on the off chance, do you know who the breeder is?
