Oh my God,I just had a look at that thread. Its heartbreaking Thank God you rescued her.
She looks like a different snake, obviously a combination of your dedication and Croc being a little fighter
That golddust is stunning!

Heh,heh yeah I am ever so slightly biased

More!

Here is Aurelius, newest member to the club. His head got a little squashed during travelling so I got him half price. Funky pattern, must be the stripe influence. Pics were taken at night with the flash on, he looks very orange..... (please excuse the state of his tub, he was just about to move house)
'08 male golddust motely het. stripe

He's a pretty boy!

Ps.love the last 2 snakes on your pics

Croc was bought from a shop near me in an appalling condition- seriously malnourished (117g if my memory serves me, at around 3 1/2 foot long), retained shed, blackened tail tip, cataracts and 2 types of internal parasites- no idea how old she is either.

She had a bad regurge problem and I was told by my vet that she would die..... but she hasn't!

She's hard work, needs special baths, sliced up beef heart, supplements and occasionally help with shedding, (and she bites because she is blind!) but she is a lovely snake and deserves the best after all she's been through.

Edit: Here is the original thread- http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7996&SearchTerms=New,rescue,snake
I'm not surprised you like the last 2 snakes.... you're biased

Heya!

Yeah, all the eggs were duds and went straight in the bin.

Merlin is doing fab and seems to be flourishing in his new surroundings, he is a real hit with the kids too.

The 2 snows will eventually be a breeding pair, hopefully providing me with snows, snow stripes, and possibly some coral snows and coral snow stripes too if all the hets prove out.

Altivo the hypo will be Aurora's new boyfriend as he is het for charcoal- so the beginnings of a pewter project.

And Aurelius the golddust motley will be going with Sarabi to make goldusts, golddust stripes, butters, butter stripes, again if the hets prove- but at the very least I'll be getting the basic morphs.

I can also mix them all up a bit and could get anerys, amels, ghosts, normals, hypos, hypo amels, normal stripes, hypo amel stripes and hypo stripes. Possibly some motleys too depending on plans.

Hey SB, Weirdly enough I was thinking about you yesterday while I was searching through some old threads and thought we hadn't heard from you for a while. Great to see you

shame he's turned out to be a she, i finally picked up my last ever corn (been on my wishlist for years and this particular one's been in the pipeline for ages!) a little miami girl which would have gone great with croc...........if he'd not been a girl all along lol
SexyBear77 Posted - 29/10/2010 : 11:10:21
Thanks guys!

I was worried for little Croc when she started to lay- she went off her food, shed, hid in her cave all the time etc etc. There was me thinking "please don't be gravid you little *beep*..." and sure enough- 9 eggs.

The weight just dropped off her within 2 days, back down to just over 100 grams. She doing ok again now though, back on rat pups and beef heart alternately every week. Yum.

She ought to borrow some of Sarabis extra flab.
