Posted - 25/10/2010 : 10:59:25 cassius sat in his viv really nicely for me (see first pic) so i couldnt resist taking a few macro/close up shots. hes getting used to my enormous DSLR now so its a bit easier! i have tried not to post too many lol

yeah i totally agree, its hard as i dont have a macro lens. the depth of field is so small using extension tubes the macro lens i want is £500 if you can get it second hand and with baby number 2 on the way - im never likely to get it!
i dont really do much macro stuff, most of my photography is longer range wildlife. just getting into macro really because of cassius. theres a link to my photos in my sig if anyone is interested |

i use a canon eos 50d DSLR. its a touch expensive but im really into photography so well worth it for me
the pic below shows what poor cassius is having poked in his face. hard to get a sense scale though
