Posted - 25/05/2010 : 16:20:14 I am being serious. Is it normal when a snake poo's that it makes a ketchup bottle sound or any sound in fact? Or is it a sign of some kind of digestion or diarrhoea? I know with chickens when they make that sound it's normally because they are young or have a really runny poo.
I'm sorry if this is a silly question, I have just never heard a snake actually poo before... |

I'm guessing he was on his log at a funny angle and opened fire. |

Wow, that snake has an excellent aim!
I hate it when they do it in the corners though, it's so hard to get it all without having to use your hands :/ and then when you use a poop scooper in the corner your the one that ends up smearing it all up the viv walls trying to get it all. |

Posted - 28/05/2010 : 17:17:23 O.o; maybe you need to toilet train them Mike.
Mine normally do it in the corners... which means they end up pooing on their hides. And they they look all upset because I have to bin their fav hide's which are cardboard boxes and put a different hide in until I get a new cardboard box to replace it with! They should learn not to poo where they sleep |

Thanks Eeji, needed that laugh !! It is amazing what you find yourself talking about when you have pets (and babies)....like poo and certain noises!! And the things you find yourself doing....like slitting a mouse's stomach to try and coax your ****** (my asterisking!) snake to eat - something I never in my life thought I would do !!

Posted - 26/05/2010 : 22:59:18 Corns do tend to have quite runny craps, some of mine press their **** to the vent and squeeze one out so it goes down the outside of the tub and onto the one below! they are delightful creatures!
If you think Corns are bad though, try Russian rats, they are vile, at 25 degrees their feed topoopcycle is about 2 days, and its always liquid, and if he eats a lot, its a a big splatter of vileness!! Boas are the best, just a big log left in the corner! |

Posted - 26/05/2010 : 09:46:48 This made me chuckle. I can imagine the kid's faces if they see Speedy do a poo; they'll think it's hilarious. Actually, so would hubby!

Posted - 26/05/2010 : 09:37:17 Gobo is loud and proud, and always lifts his tail at near on 90 degrees, but Sprockett is usually silent. I love the description of a ketchup bottle HAHAHAHA |

Posted - 25/05/2010 : 17:22:34 Thank goodness *_* it thought she might have had snake diarrhoea or something. I've seen them poo before but I have never heard it in the 8 years I have had them. When I did hear it though I thought it might have been a regurge until I saw her tail up in the air which I have also never seen before o.o; |

Posted - 25/05/2010 : 16:56:11 Mine always make that sound, it is a mixture of solid and liquid and being forced out of a tight opening so as one medium is dispelled the other is still under pressure. |
