Posted - 24/05/2010 : 09:45:30 Now Bella is home again is there anything we should be especially aware of that she may have picked up on her travels? She hasn't been outside as far as we know, and hasn't lost much weight. She was very thirsty when we put her back in her viv and ate readily - although we did notice she was making some odd movements with her jaw as she settled back in after eating, like she was drinking only she wasn't. Anything to worry about? |

I usually go by Jac THANK YOU for asking; most people just assume Jacqui and I can't stand that name!
Glad I asked....I just know how much I HATE being called Judy so do like to try and check, just prefer calling people by their names rather than forum names....makes it more personal. But I will warn you, my memory is terrible so apologies now is I call you Jacqui.....will try and get Jac into my head!

I am sure you are so relieved that not only is Bella home but she is also none the worse for her little adventure. Time for you to breathe a sigh of relief I think .

Posted - 02/06/2010 : 08:30:57 Well she's been home a week and a bit and everything looks good. No sneezing (forgive me, but the thought of a sneezing snake makes me giggle), no discharge and everything inside is pink and healthy. She's eating fine and seems none the worse for her adventure. Hurrah! |

Posted - 25/05/2010 : 10:14:04 Heep an eye on her, as when Gobo started doing that he started sneezing etc. Turned out he'd got something stuck up his nose, so the vet flushed it, but it can also be a sign of the start of an RI.
Just keep an eye out for things like discharge from the nose and mouth. If she yawns and you manage to get a look in her mouth, make sure it is a pinky colour and not deep red or purple or anything. |

Posted - 25/05/2010 : 07:08:06 I wouldnt think so since she never made it outside. My 2 hatchlings went awol just after i got them two nhalf years ago they were fine. Casper went missing last year for 2 weeks she was ok but abit shrivilled looking due to being dehidrated. Bella should be okay after some food water and rest |
