Morning folks!

I've just awoken to find that my little snow corn shed during the night. It wasn't completely perfect, though it was better than his first with me.
There appears to a red sore on the top of his head, with what appears to be a bit of retained shed in it. It's hard to the touch, and little Sid isn't happy with me working up there. I'm not to keen on doing something stupid and making it worse, as I'm still relatively new to snake keeping.

I can't post a pic at the moment as my camera is at my brothers house

Any ideas what it could be, or what should be done?
I plan on taking him back to the shop later to see if they can help,
but thought I'd post here too.

Many thanks,

Justin

Thanks folks. He seems fine. Had his dinner last night, first time with two pinky's and managed not a problem. He's also been out and about a few times today already.

It does look like a scale has come off, but it will heal after a few sheds.

It happened to Nagini once and he's fine now, but like every one says keep an eye on it and treat if it looks like it's becoming infected.

It looks like he has caught it on something and taken the scale off, so keep a very close eye on it and see how it goes, if it doesnt start to heal soon then you can use a cotton bud and a saline solution and clean it. That will help it heal.

Here's a few pics I got whilst feeding time late last night. To be honest I don't think it looks as bad as it first did.
I phoned the pet shop and the guy said that it didn't sound too serious and to just keep an eye on him.

dont pick the skin off, you might uncover a nasty patch! although you can if you put something like dermagel on it.

sounds like he's rubbed a scale off or something similar.
if it's not actually sore or bleeding i'd just leave well alone and keep an eye on it. but obviously pics would help
