Posted - 01/02/2010 : 19:41:29 hi peeps my corn steve has been a rite pain he only has one speed at the moment (last 5 days) flat out ! do i need to worry ? Every time i go to get him out he just wants to zipp off out my hands and go . ive only had him 5 weeks and am still quite nervious of handleing him . is it me or is something up ? he eats,drinks fine he is 3 inchs longer than 5 weeks ago shed perfectley temps are spot on. Any help or advice would be very help full |

Posted - 02/02/2010 : 21:46:21 my anery hatchling was the same, little and often and now she stays relitivly calm and docile(still have to be ready for her zipping off in a blink though, they like to kepp you on your toes ;)) |

Posted - 01/02/2010 : 21:03:08 if you're nervous he'll also pick up on it as you'll not be handling him as confidently
make sure you're fully supporting his weight and let him move around without you trying to stop him or slow him down, let him weave between your fingers and from hand to hand so he can keep moving until he realises you've still got him and it's not that bad!
keep handling sessions short 5-10 mins at a time, and sait down to do it, with a towel across your lap so you're not so worried about dropping him or losing him while he's moving so quickly |
