After being off her food for a while again lil rizzie has decided food is the way to go and took a pinkie tonight. I did have to scent it with chick and it was the most excited Ive seen her in ages. How long do you think i should keep scenting before I say enough is enough and let her have a "normal diet"?

if you're resorting to scenting for a stubborn feeder then ANYTHING'S worth a try lol

but i'd keep on with the scenting for a few weeks Laura, then just try a normal one......... worst that can happen is that it's refused and you have to rub a chick all over it

cool will take a trip to the shop tomorrow and get little aura a chickling to do some scenting with! lol
aw your poor leo..imagine smelling of pinkie!!

Yay Rizzie! Glad she finally ate! We agree with HannahB, only scent as little as you can get away with, otherwise we both know Rizzie will decide that normal pinks aren't "good enough" for her!

Poor Dezzi, he wanted that pink too!

BTW think Kizzy is gonna shed, zooming around like an idiot rubbing everything in site while managing to get water everywhere... Were going to have fun cleaning that up without her getting out...

But, maybe we might get another complete shed, so its worth it!!

well done on her eating again!
but i dont know how long you should scent it for..maybe try and see if she will take the next feed without scenting and if not then scent it..

this sounds silly but did you buy a chick specifically for scenting? am thinking of trying aura with a scented pinkie.. i do have a pet chicken but i think she would try and eat the pinkie if i attempted to scent with her! not that i actually would use her - dont know what shes been rolling about in!!!
