Posted - 09/07/2013 : 19:27:52 I don't know if this should be on the breeding bit as it appears that Sunny has a tummy full of eggs-at least thats what the vet seems to think-I declined the xray. The worry is will she cope-she's just 3yrs and 5'9" last weighed in at 1200gram. The other worry is WHAT THE HECK ARE THEY?? the only other snake that her previous owners had was a Mexican Black King. It transpires that whenever they cleaned out Sunny they put her in with the MBK to play.So I rang them up again to be told that they 'never fought just chased about a bit sometimes and curled their tails together' Next question;whats the best way to euthanize eggs? there is no way on Gods Earth that I want to raise a bunch of woteva's!! |

Posted - 28/07/2013 : 02:24:45 She's huge! What a gorgeous chunky snake though
I hope she passes the eggs without any problems, this new lot of yours seem like they've really put you through it |

Posted - 27/07/2013 : 14:49:58 Thanks SB-Lilith is back to her usual obnoxious self she blessed us with four solid little yellowish slugs and is now empty Sunny still filling herself up when ALLOWED and is otherwise unaffected.I'm thinking about getting her xrayed next week if nothing has occurred-she seems to be d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g it out a wee bit |

Well she's definitely not pure corn if she is part Great Plains rat Lol, I assume you meant not pure rat if you think her head looks king-like? I'm not good with hybrids so not sure if she looks like a 'proper' golddust or not. Still no sign of eggs yet then.. hope she hurries up and lays them soon for you
She has such lovely colouring - once you have got her weight down a bit she will be a simply stunning snake
PS - is Lilith still OK? |

Posted - 10/07/2013 : 22:41:38 Thanks all,I guess this is the hazard that comes with others cast offs- sort of taking a bite of pie, thinking that there's a nice big blackberry on top and it turns out to be a juicy cat turd instead |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 23:20:56 OMG 'chased about a bit sometimes and curled their tails together', what unbelievable morons Not to mention the fact if she was in with a king it's lucky she wasn't eaten - well... when smaller lol!!!
I just hope she is OK - try not to worry, I'm sure she will be. xx |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 22:27:07 Even if you got one full term, and then sold it for snake eating snakes? |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 22:20:58 I think I would have to keep a few eggs and see what they look like. Hope she's ok. |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 22:09:37 Thats seems fair. I had nothing against it, i just have a generally curious mind :) Sorry for the snake stress though. |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 22:07:03 The only problem with hatching these out for me would be 1/potentially a lot of hybrid young to move on 2/Certainly wouldn't want any keepers 3/cost of raising the hatchies 4/not everyone likes 'mixups'I may be left with then a long time 5/technically Sunny is already a hybrid (golddust)
I can't avoid the stress/strain on her-So sad for the girl |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 21:25:38 Hope the snake is healthy and well able to cope if it is indeed gravid. Shame you want to kil the eggs (simply due to the fact id be interested to see what came out!) . |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 19:54:37 the issue you may have being that size is she is a big corn, sometimes big isnt better for breeding. fingers crossed for you |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 19:49:39 Thanks Big G-I'm guessing she is o.k.size wise-just read the bit on age/size/weight Believe me I said a few things that would not be out of place in a Tarantino film Sorry Silverwings! unless you want the whole lot as newborn hatchies-it aint gonna happen! |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 19:35:17 Freeze them, I think. It's what I plan to do if Luna double clutches (which I think she is :/). Shame you're not hatching them, I love jungle corns lol |

Posted - 09/07/2013 : 19:31:20 complete ans utter idiots, thats the public forum version.
Best way to euthanise the eggs is when the come out give them a good shake then add them to the freezer for a day or so then just bin them. |
