My girl Sakana has never had a bad shed in her life. She laid me a clutch of eggs in May and so I was expecting a bad shed after(post-lay) since her body had been under strain while laying but it was a perfect, intact shed with the eyes and everything. She's shed twice since that one. The last shed was in a few pieces(about 6 smaller pieces) and she retained the eye caps. I was looking at seeking veterinary help for that when I noticed she'd gone blue again so I decided to wait it out and see if she would shed this with this shed... Well, she has but she's also shed in about 6 million pieces... I spent about 10 minutes picking bits of shed from all over her vivarium. I don't understand the reason for the bad sheds all of a sudden. Nothing has changed in her vivarium and I raised the humidity during her blue phase and before the shed but it still came off in the most pieces I've ever seen.

Any ideas or am I over-worrying?

Diego just had a bad shed yesterday too, got everything off but I'm still finding bits of it around his viv. He normally has no trouble, just seems to be one of those things.

Could be... I hope she is. She does seem OK.

As long as she seems her self, her stats are fine. she eats as normal for her. im sure she'd be fine. Could just be that one off that everyone most likely has had at one point.

The eye caps were attached to this shed so she's got them off but I was just worried as she's never had a bad shed till these last two I did the same as you, put a damp flannel under her warm hide, misted her warm side and a small bowl of water on the edge of the heat mat and she still shed like this. It's so worrying.

Oh, poor thing ....you and Sakana. I think there are quite a few bad sheds at the moment, maybe because of the bizarre weather and maybe the air being dryer than normal. I'm waiting for Silvi to shed at the moment. It will be her first shed since her post-lay shed, which was the worst she'd ever had. I've done my normal of putting in an extra water bowl on the heatmat and misting her warm end each morning, but I've also added a damp flannel on her warm hide this time in the hope she'll shed clean.

No answers for you I'm afraid and I'm not sure there's much you can do about it. Were you able to find the eye caps within all those bits?
