Posted - 30/04/2013 : 02:11:00 I remember someone else asking about their corn having "dry" looking scales? Well I was watching Sakana earlier and she too has some of these "dry" scales. Her last shed was a full one, not a singe scale missing... I checked it after finding these dry scales thinking maybe they were retained shed but nope.
Just a quick note, in this first picture she looks really skinny as she was stretching from my hand to my shoulder and back into her viv while I was trying to take a one handed decent shot of the dry looking scales.
Had to mark these out so you could notice them properly.
Any ideas? |

I did admittedly get her out for a bit earlier and looked them over again and they don't look too bad today. They look a little better but not 100%. Just hoping the shed she goes through within the next week will sort them and then hopefully she'll be giving me some eggies |

Posted - 30/04/2013 : 16:56:17 I think it looks like scale damage too. Kali has some that looks very similar on the back of her neck, like she's gone under something then reversed out.
Hopefully the next shed will fix it |

She never goes under her waterbowl as she can't bury under it. I don't have substrate under the water bowl and have it flat on the bottom of the viv with substrate around it. Her hide is the same as she's always had and this has never happened before. Ah well, hopefully it'll sort itself out with her next shed Thanks. |

I'm just wondering what she could have done... There's nothing in the viv that she could do this on as far as I'm aware. |
