Hello I am really worrying about my corn snake, Dakota. He is a year old and been on fuzzies for a while now but when I fed him this time he took forever to eat it and just sat there with it in his mouth for ages... Then when he finally got it down he wasn't like his normal self... I don't know what up with him, anyone know what's up?

He has been having arkvits calcium and vitamin powder stuff the last couple of feeds and doing fine on it, could it just be this or is there something wrong with him :(

I hope my little baby is okay :'(

My Saphira often rubs her face against things after eating, almost as if she's trying to clean her mouth of any tiny pieces of fur that were left behind ^^

He just had a nice big drink then got in the water and bathed in it rubbing his head on. The side ect, never seen him do that before...

Awwh thank you for the information, not worrying about him anymore, ill stop with the arkvits :) he doesn't need it and ill make sure he is fed in his normal place next feed :)

It could have been because he fed in an unfamiliar place.
I don't use any suppliments on my snake's food.
Hope that helps...

Yeah maybe, thank you... Might it be because I normally feed him in a plastic tank and this time I had to feed him else where because my brother took my plastic tank thing to my cousin as he broke his one, I had t feed him in a different box?

Well as far as I'm aware, unless they have some sort of medical condition, there's no need, they get all the calcium they need through the prey items they eat. Were you watching him eat? Sometimes they can get shy and uncomfortable when watched, after all, this is the most vulnerable time for them. Perhaps next time just make sure he eats in a secluded place and see how he gets on.

For a minute I thought he was going to regurgitate and he just want being the same and looking for more or striking like normal, may it be he wasn't hungry and my cousin has loads of corms and boas and he got me some and said I should give it to him some time, should I stop with it as I don't think he actually needs it?

Sometimes they do just take their time.. What do you mean by "not his normal self"? Any reason for giving him the extra calcium?
