Posted - 20/09/2012 : 13:07:11 After taming my baby corn every day for a month she has finally become a little cute orange snakey! I'm really enjoying having her and I am actually thinking about getting her a boyfriend. Obviously she is too young to lay eggs (I think she's 8 weeks now). I have a couple of questions for those who keep snakes in the same viv / know about breeding.
1. How old does the female have to be before she is able to breed/lay eggs? 2. Does it matter if the male is older/bigger? 3. Can you keep a small corn snake and a bigger one in the same viv (I'm guessing the big snakey eats the little one)? |

Posted - 20/09/2012 : 13:10:51 1) They *can* breed younger and smaller, in the same way a 10 year old human techically can, but it best to leave her until she is at least (as a minimum) 3 years old, 3ft long and 300g 2) I dont suppose the males size would matter too much providing he isnt so large as to squish her! 3) Cohabbing generally isnt advised - I wouldnt have thought if the smaller snake didnt get eaten, it'd be bullied and stressed out by the larger snake |
