Just a question that I have no idea about. My little pal has had his first meal with no problems after about 15mins off it being left.
Now 6 days later I have left the meal in the same place with the snake in a tub, although this time he has not taken it and it's been there for about 1 hour. I have tried moving the pinkie around using a straw although little george does not seem bothered.
How long can the pinkie be left with George before I should remove it?

Again, I'm no expert but from your posts he ate on the 10th and it reads like you then transfered him to the new Viv before he'd had 48 hrs to digest. The change of habitat could have stressed him after the feed causing the regurge (unless you'd moved homes before the feed of course, then I'm just talking nonsense). |

The regurge could well have been because there is no heatmat yet. If a corn snake is unable to regulate its body temperature then it can't digest its food properly. There is a sticky about what to do if a snake regurgitates here: http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7792

I've not experienced a regurge and I'm inexperienced, but I think you should leave them about 10 days or so, to let any gut flora re-establish ? someone with experience will probably put you right on this though, I hope the stat turns up :) |

Bad news the little guy Regurgitated it 48 hours later. Has not been held. Was thinking this may be due to temps? As heat mat has not yet been put in as stat is due to arrive today.
How long should I leave it until I retry another pinkie?
I also have a feeling that I may have fed him to soon as he had his last pinkie 6 days ago |

That was my worry. He has just moved into his Viv and has only been with us for about a week. But he loved being handled and was always trying to get out of the RUB. So I thought what the heck let him decided. I put the rub in the Viv and let him come out when he was ready. He's settled in brilliantly.
