My little monthling, after have just had a pinky decided to escape. She managed to pry open her cover and then proceeded to climb down the counter it was on. From here she took a 4 ftish drop to the floor where she then proceded into the bin through the hole where the foot peddle is to opne the lid.
Should i be worried about her being injured from the fall? what things should i look for?
She hasnt vomitted up her food so i take that as a good sign, but im worried of internal injuries. Guess the only real way to tell is wait and see if she eats again.
but opinions, and thought id appreciate loads since im new and this is my first snake.

When they are little they are very very light and their bones are not rigid like ours would be, a fall isn't the best thing to happen to them but it is unlikely in my opinion to have caused any major injuries. This doesn't rule it out but if it is acting normally, hasn't regurgitated the meal then just keep an eye on it and secure the tub so it can't happen again.
Falls from any height are not a great idea but I bet we've all dropped a hatching at one time or another and most escape injury free, adult snakes are at far greater injury risk from a fall, their bones are more rigid (slightly more than a hatchling though still not as rigid as our bones) and their own body weight makes the impact more severe. |

If she didn't sick up and she's moving ok along her length I wouldn't worry over much... just keep an eye on her IMO.

Check for changes in behaviour, body shape, when hurt they can become aggressive. If you manage to find a vet for your beardie you could take the snake along for a check up.
