Hi there,
I have just been looking at my snake to see how she is and as she was looking at me, I could see a couple of black dots moving around on her face which I presume are mites. I tried to see if I could see any more but there didn't seem to be any others. She's in blue at the minute so should I wait till she's shed to do something or do it asap? What is the best way to get rid of them? Only had her for a month but only just noticed them now! Could she have had them all this time without me noticing or could she have got them from somewhere else?

Just walked in on her shedding and it is actually all in one piece so looks like the mites haven't caused her too much harm. If the spray that the shop gave me doesn't work then I'll try that

When my Snakespeare had mites (all hail the quarantine room!!) i have him and his house a good soak in vegetable oil (i think! it was in the kitchen anyways) and they were gone in no time at all
Helped with his bad sheds and wouldnt harm him if he swallowed any too

Thanks for the help :) Been to the shop where I got her from to buy everything I need and they were also very helpful so hopefully all will be fine :) The shed however will not be in one piece I've been told which is disappointing since I haven't had her shed with me before but oh well, there's always next time.
