gonna treat Silver myself and after reading up loads about it it seems quite safe to do myself.

Thanks very much.

Tried him on a mouse with 0.2ml of the substance in its stomach. Didnt have a syringe though so just had to cut it open.
He doesnt seem interested in it though, even though his appetite has been fine recently, so i dont think he likes the smell of it.

Will have to get a syringe and inject it properly into the mouse in a couple of days.

Ok,
The dosage is 50-100mg per kg depending on infestation of worms.

50mg per kg would be a routine wormer whereas 100mg per kg would be for a heavily infected animal.

This should be delivered orally 3 times: the initial dose, at 2 weeks and then at 4 weeks.

Panacur usually comes in a 10% solution so the dosage required would need to be divided by 100.

Good luck with your worming :)

Im popping in to see my vet tomorrow so I could ask her for you if you would like?

Id actually heard of the 50mg/kg

and ive heard that its worth doing both my snakes seen as they eat mice from the same pet shop.
Thanks for the advice, and I understand why you think i should go to a vet, but ive read up loads about it and its not really possible to OD them, so as long as I stick to a small amount should be okay.

cheers people, ill let you all know how it goes x

I found this on a website for bearded dragons, it is 3 years old so definitely advise checking with a vet.

Panacur Quick Reference Dose Chart

Panacur is packaged for use in horses. Herpetologists and reptile enthusiasts have been using this product for years with great success. Vets recommend a dose of 50-100 mg/kg once every two weeks for reptiles until a negative fecal is obtained. Usually takes 2-3 doses.

Side effects from Panacur are low and almost unheard of.

Panacur treats: pinworms, hookworms, hepatic worms, roundworms, strongyles, and pentastmoids.

To calculate dosage: Get weight of reptile (in grams). Multiply weight (in grams) by .0005 (for 50mg/kg dosage) or multiply by .001 (for 100 mg/kg dosage). Or you can use our handy chart below. Just get the weight of your reptile in grams, and use the chart to determine the dosage.

Agree with this, any dosages you are advised on here is just that a guess. Vet for proper dosage
