Posted - 05/07/2012 : 17:38:15 Hi all. Snaky is about 3-4 years old. Noticed his eyes looked cloudy on 16/6, he Shed on 25/6, as expected, and I fed him on 29/6. Fed well, but I noticed one of he eyes looked more cloudy than the other. Both eye caps are on the shed skin. He has been in his hide a lot since he shed, but he is happy to snake around when I let him out.
Ive booked him into the Vet tomorrow. Any ideas?

Posted - 07/07/2012 : 13:50:45 Just the pupil . Vet was not able to confirm Cateract. However he suspected an internal eye infection, he wanted to rule out any common infections.
She has been prescribed an injection of Amikin every 3days, for the next month. |

Posted - 05/07/2012 : 18:37:49 Does it look clouded all over, or just the pupil area? It's hard for me to tell from the pic. If you can only see it in the pupil, it could mean that your snake has a cataract, which can have a whole range of causes. I hope it's just an old eyecap! |
