Posted - 09/04/2012 : 11:14:35 Hi, recently (about 7 days ago) I found 1 mite in my Carolina corn snakes water bowl. First thing I did was kinda panic. So..... I cleaned the faun from top to bottom then I lay some kitchen towel in (instead of aspen) I put her hide in that had just been disinfected along with her water bowl. After I did this I realised it was her feeding day so I whipped out a fuzzie and she gave her fastest strike ever! I thought that this was a good sign. Whilst she was eating it gave me a chance to have a look at her andi couldn't see any more mites behind the scales and she didn't seem to be loudly breathing or any signs of illness. Sooooo... Q1 did I do the right things? Q2 will she be ok? Q3 should I use any sprays/treatments if they come back?
Thanks, Corns7

Posted - 09/04/2012 : 12:31:53 I had the same thing in the water bowl, apparently you can get little mites in the aspen that are totally harmless to the snake, sounds like you've done the right things, i'm sure she'll be fine |
