Posted - 01/02/2012 : 14:29:55 Hi,
Kerry has not eaten anything for about 2 months, he usually eats a jumbo mouse every 10 days without fail, then suddenly wasn't interested. At first I thought it was because he was going to shed, and then he did and he still didn't want to eat. He's about 3 years old, doesn't seem to be losing any weight, temperature is right, he's a bit more active than usual but that's the only change in his behaviour.
Any advice? Should I be worried?

Posted - 01/02/2012 : 15:33:50 Taggart went for nearly 3 months before starting to eat again. At the time he would have been 4 years old. Put it down to 'lurv is in the air'. As long as he is active and not showing any signs of ill health don't worry too much.
Offer a small mouse once a fortnight, even leave it overnight in the viv in a feeding tub. Eventually he will start eating. No point wasting a jumbo mouse, unless you have another snake. |
