Posted - 10/12/2011 : 16:08:14 I don't think so, as they only shed their skin once the fresh skin beneath is hardened and ready. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to move as their ventral scales would cause them discomfort along the terrain if they were sensitive afterwards.
I know some snakes get grumpy during a shed. My hoggie is even more of a grump when in blue. Yet my corn doesn't seem to be bothered if I need to touch her to lift her out of the way of something to be wiped down or if I need to clean her viv whilst shes in blue. She goes very quiet and hides away in blue but I think all snakes go that way during the blue phase. |
