Posted - 16/11/2011 : 13:50:06 Soooo around this time of year my room becomes an ice box at the most of times and the heating only comes on in the morning and in the evening for a few hours. Just a little concern about the temps in the tank. I have my thermostat and heat mat under my faun on a piece of polystyrene to try preserve as much heat as i can and i have 2 digital thermometers with the probes inside the tank (hot and cool side) directly ontop of the aspen which is thicker on the cooler side than the warm side. the heat mat is about 1/2 - 2/3 underneath. and present the cool side says 20.2c and the warm says 29.3c. im just a bit worried bout the cool side being too cool. it was 22/23 when it settled. but as i said the temp in my room drops disgustingly so not much i can about that.
Any input on this or sugestions??? |

Posted - 16/11/2011 : 14:06:54 Yeah thats fine. Similar to mine. Just keep an eye on the warm end. I found when my flat gets warm the warmer end spikes into the 30+ mark. Just do a daily check and tweak it from time to time and you'll be fine. Anything more than 30 is to much. |
