I didn't know that.
Handy bit of info to get locked away in my head now, cheers.

i presume with dettol this is because it goes cloudy in water, anyone with animals should be aware any disinfectant that goes cloudy in water is toxic to animals

Thanks for the further clarification, Kehhlyr. I guessed it had to be pilot error.

Further info on a similar subject regarding Dettol Surface Cleaners which were mentioned in a previous topic.
I contacted Dettol Consumer Services and it is an absolute NO-NO for use under any circumstances where animals are involved. They strongly recommend sticking to specific 'Animal Approved Use' products.

I've been in contact with the manufacturers and distributors of this product regarding this as we've been unable to find any official info, only stuff that has been posted on reptile forums and/or reptile groups on facebook.

Its only for the one product (the anti mite solution) as some people have not followed the instructions. The produce will be released shortly with new instructions.

It seems to be that it's simply the instructions are not completely clear for people that have never used the stuff before (or people are being idiots and not using it how the instructions state). Either way, they will be sorting the instructions out properly before re-releasing it.

Please also notice the fact that it's only for the Anti-mite spray, not the general disinfectent etc.
IMO it shouldn't pose any massive health issues if used properly, however if used with (what seems to be unclear instructions) then issues *could* arise.

I'd like to thank both the manufacturers and the distributors for their info given and customer service as well, this is something that many suppliers would not bother about, and it shows the care and thought that goes to all their customers.
If anything this should also give more confidence in buying these products not less. I for one will still happily buy and use the F10 products, especially if the aftercare carries on how it has.

Massive thumbs up for the manufacturers and one of their main distributors Big Reptile world along with John Berry Reptiles

Thanks Graeme, I just bought a bottle of the F10 SC Disinfectant with my last SPS order.

looks as though it is only the F10 insecticide surface spray

This applies to all other suppliers of F10 Insecticide Surface Spray not just bigreptileworld.

Anyone know with certainty whether it just the Surface Spray being recalled or does it apply to the complete F10 range?

Sems a bit drastic to withdraw the product after just 2 'adverse reports'.
