hi im a little worried about my wrigle
i noticed she had gone into hideing this week wasnt out in tank and then noticed she had gone into blue thurs when i tryed to get her out to feed but wasnt interested in comeing out to play so left pinkie on kitchen towel which she eat after a long wile and so i put a small moss box in to help her as last shed tail didnt come off its on warm side but the thing thats got me worried is that she now hasnt moved off of one of the glass bars at top of tank been there since fri night /sat am and hasnt moved from this bar shes alive still if i look in tank she moves head and if i go in to change water her head follows me ..and if i stroke her she moves a bit
so 1/ is it anything to get stressed over is she ok
2/ is it down to shedding last shed was 24.7.11
could she not like moss box ?
not sure what els to do hope some one can point me in the right direction or am i just getting me self at it
also she only hatched on 14.6.11 been fine upto now active in and out of tank temps seem to be what most say it should be on here
help !!dont want to louse my little one

Thing is, he has decided that this time he is just going to chill at the back of his viv, outside of a hide (he has been there for around 2 days now, having moved a just a little)!!! Confirmation that this is okay, and doesn't suggest that its going to be a bad shed, or that everything is okay would be great? Is this "normal"?

They're all different. Sometimes Rimmer likes to zoom about when he's in blue, sometimes he hides. The others tend to hide. All good shedders! I can only assume AURYN feels pretty secure, enough to come out when his vision is compromised :)

That's great to know, thanks Spreebok - around 3 hours after writing about him being outside for 2 days, he decided to go back and hide...little tinker that he is!

many thanks tordyjo il keep it in and keep an eye on her and onece again thanks for the help i feel abit better now this forum is amazing top job you lot

when they're in blue, they often don't move very much and tend to hide away or go somewhere they feel safe as this is a very vulnerable time for them as they are practically blind when in blue

well if she doesnt like the moss box try spraying the box very lightly with water or move her water bowl near the warm side both these should increase the moisture in side the tank for her the shed
