Posted - 19/08/2011 : 22:54:02 I had to post about this as i've read a few posts about problem feeders and any tips that can be given. Since I bought home my Cinder on the 3rd of July she proved to be nothing but a problem feeder refusing to eat every pinkie I offer her, I resorted to braining which wasnt the most pleasant method but it worked and it only worked if I covered and left her for 24 hours. It was stressing me out to say the least, so my friend had scanned the internet for a different idea and suggested marmite.
Oh Marmite I LOVE thee!, since i've dipped the pinkies heads in marmite she eats them up with the hour! I can now feed her on two pinkies no problem and she has taken every pinkie I have offered her every time.
This is definately one to consider if you've tried everything else and just dont have the stomach for braining. I hope some of you will try this and perhaps tell me if it works. Would love to know if it works with all ages rather than just hatchlings. |

Posted - 20/08/2011 : 21:38:15 I have to admit that I have never tasted Marmite, for some reason the thought of it always makes me feel a bit sick. But maybe I should buy a jar and put it in the cupboard just incase I ever need it. |

It's usually greeted with "Sure, I'll try that...."

Posted - 20/08/2011 : 08:08:34 Well I hope to eventually ween her off the marmite but I want to establish a few more feeds perhaps when shes ready for the next pray item such as fuzzies. I might have a snake addicted to marmite (can't say I blame her)
