you are really best to have it thermostatted.... if it overheats the snake is at risk of bad burns xxx
kerrypx Posted - 08/08/2011 : 15:44:02

Simmy_82 Posted - 08/08/2011 : 15:41:45
How hot is the hot end of the Viv? If its above 30 this is where the problems could be coming from...

Hi Kerry

I found this link, to explain what reptile poo should look like http://www.azeah.com/Care-Sheets.asp?id=208

Perhaps she's not eating properly because she still hasn't shed properly? Have you had a look at the Shedding sticky? If not try http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12296. And, from what I've read, corn snakes can go for a while without feeding so not to worry too much.

How long have you had her? Also a description of the set up she is in (how big, hides, temperature at warm end etc) might help give clues to why she's stopped eating.

OK so she hasn't eaten for 2 weeks. That isn't really alot in snake terms. I have had one go for 22weeks without eating so you really don't need to panic just yet. Can you answer these questions so that people can try and help you:
When did she last eat?
How often are you offering her food?
What methods have you tried to get her to eat?
What is her set-up? Heating? Heat regulation? Temperature monitoring? Temperatures?
If you think her stools aren't as they should be, are you able to post a picture?
Simmy_82 Posted - 08/08/2011 : 14:55:34
Might sound strange but do you have a pic of the stool so others may be able to help?
kerrypx Posted - 08/08/2011 : 14:46:33
the feeding isnt an issue its her not feeding thats worring and her stool isnt right
Simmy_82 Posted - 08/08/2011 : 14:43:22
On average i believe you are to feed them every 7-10 days, unless its younger in which case i believe its every 5-7days?
