dont know if it this, or a different topic but, i bought some small mice to feed my newish amel (from kazza) and the shop gave me aload of different coloured mice....

My question is does it make any difference what colour they are cause ive got some all black, all white, and some like mucky grey/brown mice???

Chill will eat whatever colour mouse you wave in her direction but charlie will only eat white mice. Typical male being awkward and typical female wanting everything! lol

I thought the only actual differences in smell other than environmental differences is between males and females but that is a very small difference and is more pheremones in their urine than anything else. I'm pretty sure this difference doesn't have any baring on snakes eating though.

So by that theory, every mouse that isnt white or black must smell different, browns ones, blue ones, grey, etc..

Apparently there are people out there that will tell you something just to see if you beleive it.
The biggest smell difference is down to how they were killed, gassing leaves a bit of a smell, strong enough for me to smell it, obviously banging them on the head doesnt, unless you repeatedly bash its head against something smelly.

White is an easier colour to spot than black and brown that's it really.
