Hi all just finished building a 48" viv for my new arrivals coming in a few weeks (can't wait)
Anyway was just wondering what's safe to finish it off with I was thinking wood primer then varnishing over the top or painting then pva glue,
but I haven't got a clue what is harmful to them?? Can anyone tell me what things like this are a defo no no and what I can use?
Thank you

PVA isn't water proof, no. It's water based so will turn back into mush if it gets damp.
What have you built it from? As depending on what it's made from will depend on the options to finish it off. Regardless you'll be better off getting some aquarium sealant to seal the edges though.

I'm going to use uni bond waterproof all over would this seal it and then would need nothing more done to it?
(I have sent the other half to get it now lol)
Just need everything done by te 14th lol including getting some wood for the divider

Is the pva water proof? The non water proof stuff wouldn't be good to use

Wood varnish and primer is fine, it just needs a few days to air out before snake goes in.
