I posted last week that my little snake hadnt eaten for 6 weeks, and had regurged twice prior to stopping eating. Its now started pooing yellowy white runny stuff. This isnt good is it?

3 baths a day? That sounds potentially stressful for the snake rather than beneficial. I'd scrap that advice and buy some reptoboost stick it in the waterbowl and nothing more. If its eating again and passing urates its very unlikely to be dehydrated.

Very happy owner again now. Took him to the vet and he said I should give 3 baths a day to rehydrate fully. I also did the braining thing on a mouse and he ate it straight away. That went through fine and he also fed again last weekend. Hes moving round the tank again loads too, so all good. Thanks all for the advice.

yep, urates, nothing to be concerned about on it's own

It must be still drinking so its a snake wee. I'd be concerned if you've had 2 regurges and now the snake isn't eating. How old is the snake? What are your temperatures? How are you measuring temperatures? Stat? Give us a description of your setup, hides, foliage etc.

Griffin hasnt regurged.... he just isnt interested in feeding at all (Think its cos its breeding season so hes not really up for eating). So someone with more knowledge and experience with regurge will be able to advise you on that and the poop. xxx

So its okay then?
Mamma Posted - 12/06/2011 : 09:23:43
If he's not eaten recently there won't be any proper poop, it'll all be watery urates. Griffin hasnt eaten in 6 weeks and his poop is like this. Its cos there isnt anything solid to poop out.
