Hi everyone. I would like some shedding advice. I got my 14 month old corn about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday he started to shed and it's come off in lots of little pieces. Most of the skin has come off but he still has some skin remaining from the top of his head to about 6" down his back. yesterday this bit was around 10" long but some more came away this morning. He has a large water bowl that he can get in and a humidity hide in the cool side of his viv. I also used a damp towel yesterday and this helped a little. His eyes and tail tip have shed. My question is, How much time can pass before I need to worry if the skin doesn't all come off?
Thanks. x

Just leave it, it will shed off when its a bit better repaired underneath. Like picking a scab otherwise.

I got the rest of the shed off my snakes back tonight using a damp towel all that is left is a small spot on the top of his head. This area is where he had a scar that was possibly caused by a burn from the heat lamp that he had in his viv when he was with his previous owner just before I brought him home. The shed is stuck fast to the scar. Should I just leave this area alone?
I have included a photo of the problem area on my corn.

Thank you, I have read the sticky so I now have a few more things to try if this last piece of skin doesn't come of soon. This shedding lark is a huge worry...lol. I hope next time that it goes better and comes off in one piece!!!

If its still on there in a few days, get a warm wet down, and put him in it and with applying a little bit of pressure let him slither thru it, it should get off the rest of the skin :)
